Very poor internet access in Seville, so I'm trying to catch up. Check the "Older Posts" area to see if you missed anything .

Pat and I arrived in Edinburgh around noon on Saturday, the 27th. We had spent a very quiet Friday night in Amsterdam and were ready to get out and explore. First stop was Greyfriars Bobby Tavern. We had been here on a previous trip to Edinburgh and were surprised to find it was only two blocks from our hotel. Lunch consisted of Fish & Chips and a pint of the local brew. Next we walked over to the "Royal Mile" and Rose Street areas of town, did a little shopping and sightseeing before heading to dinner and back to our hotel.
Sunday was Ryder Cup day and the purpose of our detour to Scotland. Despite trailing the European Team by a substantial margin we were still excited to get to the course. A short walk to Waverly Station followed by a one hour ScotRail train ride dropped us off at Gleneagles, site of the tournament. The crowds were huge and decidely pro Team Europe. We walked most of the course stopping where we could to watch the action. The day belonged to the European Team but we still rooted on Team USA. After the golf we returned to Edinburgh and a dinner of Lambshank Pie. A great day all in all!
Monday we're headed back to Spain to finish our vacation.
